Moink was the sweetest, most loving, and most adorable cat. We found each other when a military service member had to leave abruptly, and needed to rehome a 4-month old kitten. I had an older cat at the time, and Zoe showed her how to be a cat while I showed her how to play the piano next to me. She would sit at the edge of the room I was in and just stare at me with her requests - for food, to open the curtains so she could look out the window, her language was her eyes. She did have a soft hunting noise, and a soft rolling meow, but she mostly spoke with her eyes. She was sort of a scaredy cat, and loved to lay in the closet away from the band practices or visitors, but as soon as we were snuggled into bed, up jumped Moink to fill in the gap between us. I had a special little whistle for her, and if she didn’t jump up right away I would whistle, and she would appear in seconds to be next to us. She was our sweet, brave, beautiful girl, and loved beyond measure.
