Sharing this pic of our very handsome man/boy furkid...Ha'lei was the kindest, most gentle and the protector of all his brothers and sisters for 11 years. As a pup when we brought him home from an ugly rescue he wanted to be with the other furkids but had not had all his shots. So everynite he would escape his dog pen and go out the dog door to be with the grownups.. He was easily accepted, but was not allowed in the huge tent we had for them...well he eventually made his own door to go in and out unnoticed laying at the feet of all those sleeping....He as a pup loved to get at our palm trees and in thanks we made him his own LEI....Our boy has filled out hearts for 11 years until he took sick about 4 weeks ago. Dx with liver cancer he fought and fought until his body gave out...With the assistance of Dr. Goldman we had a celebartion (quietly) of him and his life...He came to sit with us on 1-2-2026 and wanted nothing more than to be with us...We honored his wish to travel on to the Rainbow Bridge...It was a wonderful perfect send off..All the furkids came and gave there final Alohas as soft hawaii tunes played for his voyage. I held his paw and his face until his final breath...With an absolute broken heart i released one last time...A hui hou our beautiful man/boy. Thank you for your kind spirit, warm hugs, and we will miss those most beautiful brown eyes all the days of our lives....RIL HA'LEI
